چکیده

Abstract Background Brown plant hopper (Nilaparvata lugens Stal.) a very damaging pest to rice crops. One of the efforts control it is use entomopathogenic fungi (EPF). Three fungal local isolates found in Indonesia were effective controlling brown pest. This study aimed molecularly identify 3 isolates. Molecular identification important get exact identity these fungi. The accuracy EPF will greatly determine success control. based on partial genetic analysis internal transcribed spacer (ITS) locus ribosomal DNA. Result Morphology named J22 and J60 identified as Paecilomyces sp., while isolate J34 was Beauveria sp. results molecular Lecanicillium saksenae Simplicillium Myrothecium literature search showed that have never been previously reported infect hopper. Conclusion In Indonesia, types EPF, namely L. , having potential

The occurrence of entomopathogenic fungi isolated from stored grain insect pests sampled from various geographical regions of Punjab, Pakistan, was investigated. In total, 25,720 insects from six different species were evaluated, and 195 isolates from 24 different fungal species were recovered. These included the Ascomycetes Beauveria bassiana sensu lato (Balsamo) Vuillemin (Hypocreales: Clavic...

The green peach aphid (Myzus persicae), a plant pest, and gray mold disease, caused by Botrytis cinerea, affect vegetables and fruit crops all over the world. To control this aphid and mold, farmers typically rely on the use of chemical insecticides or fungicides. However, intensive use of these chemicals over many years has led to the development of resistance. To overcome this problem, there ...

Molecular Identification of Fungi - ReadingSample

As the pace of biotic homogenization has accelerated over time, the threat of novel phytopathogens has become a question of growing importance for mycologists and plant pathologists. Meanwhile, this question is but one of a whole set of related questions that invasion biologists are attempting to answer. Pathogen release is of interest to both sets of scientists because it provides a measure of...
